Built on Craft

Kerry Build was founded in St. Augustine, Florida in 2003, mostly remodeling and renovating homes in Jacksonville and the surrounding areas. After two decade working for large commercial contractors, the founder returned to residential work with a clear conviction: that luxury renovation had become too transactional, too focused on speed and margin, and not focused enough on the craft itself.

Kerry Build began with his son and a single crew, a commitment to taking on fewer projects than the market would support, and a rule that he would personally walk every project before it was considered complete. That rule still holds today.

Over the past few years, Kerry Build has grown into a team of qualified — designers, consultants, project managers, master carpenters, tile setters, and finish specialists — all working under the same philosophy. We only take on what we can manage at a very high level.
